Hi, I’m Mikaela!
Welcome to my online portfolio, where you’ll find work samples from my 15+ years of experience in marketing and communications. I’m glad you’re here!

Work experience

Huronia Historical Parks
I manage all paid and unpaid digital promotion for Sainte-Marie among the Hurons, Discovery Harbour, and Nancy Island Historic Site in French and English, including eight websites, 18 social media feeds, email marketing, online advertising, and more.

Georgian College
My main responsibilities at Georgian were content planning, project management, and student communications. I championed helpful, user-centered blog posts and email strategies and developed key publications like the program guide.

United Way Greater Toronto
At United Way, I managed all internal communications, gathered and shared poignant client stories to facilitate fundraising, supported events like the CN Tower Climb, and helped with media relations. I also created key tools like this annual report.

Kids Help Phone
As the only staff representative most of Central Ontario, I did it all. I planned events (like this walkathon). I secured sponsors. I managed and recruited dozens of volunteers. I gave speeches and deputations, and so much more.
